Beer traps combined with a 10 minute slug hunter for a few nights in succession use a torch and pair of scissors to cut them and flick them away. Continue with the shallow beer traps ( shallow enough for frogs to be able to quickly jump back out if they go in. Herbs planted about the garden. Mulching with rosemary, lavender and even some thyme cuttings can deter many pests from an array too. A cheaper alternative to beer is vegemite as it contains lots of yeast. Or yeast itself mixed in water

I have a bed that has a terrible amount of snails devouring whatever I plant there. Everything BUT azaleas, vincas, and daylilies so far. I’m going to try planting some things on your list too. Thank you!

we have found beer in a plate also gets snails. they clime in and never clime out. it doesn’t matter what kind of beer either
