The "mites" that I am experiencing look like dusty/fuzz. But they are on the furniture and carpet clothes and hair be it human or pet. They seem to wrap themselves in nylon especially but not sure if I'm crazy as I have been told by everyone or is this a problem for anyone else
Thanks in advance

Hello! Thank you for this article full of good informations and suggestions. I have been dealing with grain mites for a week now (on a shelf with reptile tanks, where I was raising mealworms in oat). Unfortunately I didn't know they were also called mold mites and I brought even more humidity to my room by using the steam cleaner to kill the mites on the shelf, walls, floors, tanks etc... So now they are pretty much gone from the shelves and tanks (I still see some but so much progress was done in a week) but I see them (in small quantity) on one wall, going up the ceiling and forming little groups between the wall and the ceiling, probably in places where there is a little bit of mold? (I cannot see any but this is the exterior wall and it has been raining a lot a few weeks ago, the weather is still very humid). I keep washing the wall with disinfecting wipes but I still see some. I just ordered a dehumidifier but will receive it in 6 days. I do have a question: is there a fogger you know off that kills these mites and their eggs? Just knowing they are still here crawling on my walls gives me a lot of anxiety, I would like to completely get rid of them with a fogger and take all the preventive measures for them not to come back. Thank you very much in advance.

Please help! I have found what I think are mild mites. A huge colony appeared over night in my living room next to a rotten old small hoover. I have removed the hoover but the mites are now infested on a unit next to my fish tank and other areas. I’m worried they will be in the carpet moving to other places.
What can I do?

The first step in treating a mold mite infestation is the identification and removal of all contaminated food sources. Doing this will eliminate the source of the majority of the mites. The next step is to reduce the potential for any reinfestation by eliminating the mites that are living in the immediate area. Keeping the area clean, including cracks and crevices, removes places to hide and potential food sources for mold mites that may be coming in from peripheral sources. In addition, lowering the ambient temperature and humidity of the space creates an area unfit for mold mite development.

Aloha! All but impossible to describe them but the source at last! The cutting board!! They’re airborne but somehow manifest in descent to the floor, fridge, oven, freezer EVERYWHERE becoming predominantly white but occasionally green, reddish, tan and blue. I thought I was battling démodéx mites have identical symptoms! Can I send pics? Futile effort otherwise.

I have the exact thing going on in my home . I just moved in and noticed a mold smell. I’m going crazy. I don’t know where to start. I see parasites all over the house. I’m moving but I don’t want to take them with me and I cannot afford pest or mold control companies. When I shake my hair I see black microbes floating in the air. It’s dry and when u pull a strand out it goes flat like a piece of tape. I’m not crazy and I’m well educated. I’ve never experienced anything like this and it scares me. I’m worried about the long term effects on my health bc I’m already suffering from COPD and also use a CPAP machine. I’ve cleaned so much I’ve got sores and my skin is cracked and dry. I have no idea what I’m going to do. I took some fuss that was at the baseboards, put it in a container and it seemed to move and grow . What am I dealing with. I need to know what action to take so I don’t take them with me when I move.
