Hi there Anthony. I’ve enjoyed reading your article on ways to get rid of mayflies. I live on the lake and each year seems to get worse with the number of mayflies and how long they’re around. This year has already been a month and a half and I’M OVER THEM !! They attach all over my shed, my house, my dock, my steps……just about everywhere. I will try the liter bottles with sugar water and fly strips but I’m thinking my whole yard would have to be filled with them. We’re not supposed to use chemicals because of the lake. I could, I guess, just burn my house and yard but that seems extreme. Would an exterminator be able to prevent them from coming back next summer? I can’t even enjoy my yard after June any longer. Any other suggestions are appreciated but I will try the ones you’ve talked about in this article. Thanks.
