I take a foam container.. Small which meat is nomally packed in in South Africa.. Then a plastic dome container and catch it and keep it in there and throw them out.

A daddy long legs is not the same thing as a cellar spider. Daddy long legs are not even a spider. They do not spin webs or have silk to do so & do not have venom.

I have laundry room that has quite a few on the ceiling and in between piles of stuff sorted out throughout the attached room of my mobile home. My wife is in the spirit of vacuuming them up but she also has a great garden out front. Going to change light bulb to yellow from white and see if I can relocate spider medicine to the garden. 🙂 thanks again, this was very informative and helpfull.

I never see them in my garden where they could actually be quite helpful. I also have a terrible problem with fruit flies and pantry moths. I never see the daddy longlegs eating anything. Ever. However they are in almost every room of my house. I began reading this when I lifted the lid to my washing machine and saw 2 (one large and one small) I don’t wish death on any living creature. (I’m also vegetarian) but I also have an unnecessary arachnid-phobia. So I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. (Right there with the creepy crawlies) 😳 I suppose the answer I’m looking to find is a way to gently remove these guys from my home without actually touching them. Like I said, I know this sounds silly, but I was hoping you may possibly have a suggestion. Thanks for all of the great info in your article. It did clear up some things for me.
