Hair treatment: In a shampoo bottle, mix apple cider vinegar with shampoo about 2 to 1 and shake well. When in the shower, put this on your upper body and ears first so they can’t escape. Then put it in your hair and rub it into your scalp well. Put some in your eyebrows too, but be very careful not to let it drip into your eyes because it really hurts. Get a disposable shower cap and put one on. I leave it on for at least 10 minutes. I listen to music, like maybe 5 songs to sort of time it being on me and this gives me time to shave my legs and wash my lower body while waiting. Remove the shower cap and rinse your hair well leaning back so it doesn’t get into your eyes. I do this about every 3 days and use regular shampoo on the other days. I also use a good conditioner after the treatment. Forgot to say, keep a clean wash cloth nearby to wipe your eyes in case it tries to drip down. They’re in my dog’s fur too so I use food grade diatomaceous earth after carefully doing the same treatment on them about once a week or so. My dogs are small and seem to tolerate this well so far. Wash sheets and dog beds in hot water often. Keep dogs clipped short. Good luck! These things are nasty! They’ll chew your hair and it falls out, Yuck!

Does this sound like a good option?? Move in the middle of winter. In New England, we have brutally cold winters. If we pack all our things, leave the moving truck open exposed to the frigid cold a few days, does this sound like a good option too? Would this work? They moved with us once, but we moved during the summer. This sounds like a lot of work. We're fairly clean but def not perfect. Read the whole article. Our pantry could use some help lol. Putting flour in plastic container, etc; our old apartment is where we believe the infestation came from. Our landlord lived below us and lived in filth.

I've had hummingbirds for years, and now they no longer come, or only stay a second, because this year, for the 1st time, there are hummingbird moths, and they drink up all the morning glory nectar before the hummingbirds can get to it. I also grow garlic, onions, and lavender, and those do not deter them at all. I guess I'll have to get a zapper, but I hate to kill other night flying insects that are not a problem. Maybe I'll try a sticky trap. So bummed!

I have been bitten I think severly by this spider and have never seen
one of course I am in my 70's and these buggers are quick a flash
but so you know their venom is dangerous as wound swells and spreads
to all fatty tissue near bite area and use lymphocyte canal in tissue to create
a red line sometime a couple red lines to travel through bite area. I live in Central
Florida Eustis in MH community I have been attacked usually in my shop area where there is a decayed particle board bench a great haven for them, moisture and small holes; a wall w crap insulation however I have used mothballs every week; I have used vinegar, dawn, lemon juice and salt mixed w water but have only spray 1 or 2 times a week and will have to trash bench particle board and put everything outdoors to treat room thoroughly.
I do treat lawns all around the house w dawn, vinegar, salt, concentrated lemon juice
every time I cut lawn which is every two weeks.
For the bites u must use cold ice packs for swelling immediately take 50 mg Benadryl to reduce inflammation and continue Benadryl for next two or three days until venom is dissipated out of fatty tissue you will know this by feeling area of the bite which will feel like a sack. A doctor should know immediately to give you an antibiotic with this type of bites. I am not a doctor and what I reiterate is my own opinion and of course how you treat yourself is for you to see a doctor.

What caught my attention is when you said that you must always call a professional when handling a live raccoon to make sure that you won't come in contact with their poop, pee, saliva, and others. This is something that I will share with my parent to ensure that they will be convinced to hire an animal removal company to get rid of raccoons in their barn safely. I do not want them to get injured or sick during the removal process, so it will be helpful for them to hire a professional within the week.

My experience has been that wood mulch provides hiding places for cucumber beetles (when I stir it up I see adult beetles crawling around) so next year I definitely won't use it near squash plants. I've been using soapy water and brute force - if you spray an adult with soapy water, it makes them unable to fly so you can pick them off more easily. It doesn't seem to kill them completely (perhaps my mix isn't concentrated enough) but it also seems not to damage my plants (I don't rinse it off). Also using (organic-compatible) dust containing spinosad bacteria - jury is still out as to its effectiveness. Anyone else having much success with it?

I found brown spots on my blackberries late in the season, the weather here in Texas is Hot and dry. That didn't match what articles had said about weather conditions so I looked for stink bug control as I had seen stick bugs in the berry garden. I am so happy that I found you. I have added you to my favorites. I think I will try the DIY spray early next spring and see if that will keep them away.
